      Brighton vs Ipswich Predictions

After their long unbeaten start was brought to a crashing halt by Middlesbrough in their last home game, Brighton are aiming to bounce back with a win here. They drew at Brentford on Boxing Day, in their only match since then and this will be another tough test against a strong Ipswich side.

The Seagulls have slipped to 4th place, the lowest they have been since August but are still only 2 points outside the top two automatic promotion places. However with the sides above them all looking so strong, a play-off place may be a more realistic aim for the 2nd half of the season and given Ipswich currently occupy the final play-off spot, this is a really big game for both clubs.

Ipswich are in good form having lost only 2 of their last 11 matches and both defeats came at the hands of the current top two. Away from home they have been sensational of late, winning all of their last 4 games on the road and 20 of their 37 points this season have come away from Portman Road.

With Brighton winless in 4, this might just be a good time to play them and at 8/11 Ipswich look really good value to avoid defeat.

There were 5 goals when these sides met back in August with Brighton winning 3-2 at Portman Road and there could be a few here. Ipswich are a positive side and will be coming here looking for and believing they can get 3 points which should make for an open game.

Brighton are unlikely to fall away as badly as some are speculating and more wins will come but this is another tough game in a run of difficult fixtures and a draw is more likely here so consider backing a 2-2 draw at 16/1.
