Bristol City vs Hull Predictions

Bristol City ensured that they avoided three winless games on the bounce on Saturday when an 88th minute goal gave them a tight 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers. This came after defeats to Cardiff City and QPR, but overall they are looking in good form this season.

They have managed to make it up to 6th in the Championship table and have already eliminated Scunthorpe United and Fulham from the League Cup. Prior to their two match losing run they had won four matches on the bounce.

A lot of praise is being heaped on young striker Tammy Abraham, and with good reason as well. The 19 year old already has 11 goals to his name this season, including three of his teams’ four in the League Cup.  He is already attracting the attention of top flight clubs, and a good performance against a Premier League side will surely boost his value even more. The youngster is definitely one to watch on Tuesday, and there is good reason that he’s favourite to find the net at 11/8.

Hull are looking decidedly worse for wear at the moment. They lost 2-0 at home to the out of form Stoke on Saturday to make it four losses on the bounce in the Premier League. Robert Snodgrass is also a doubt with a suspected ankle injury, and considering he is their top scorer with four goals in all competitions, that is a big blow.  Adama Diomante has two League Cup goals this season though, so he could prove troublesome for Bristol City.

The visitors actually began the season well despite their injury concerns, but their form has rapidly declined and their injury problems only seem to be getting worse. Snodgrass and Andy Robertson are the latest in a long line of casualties, although the return of Michael Dawson is a big boost for them at the back.

This is where they need reinforcements as well. Hull have conceded a huge 15 goals in their last four games, scoring just two at the other end. Their only victory in their last eight outings was their League Cup win over Stoke, so Bristol City will be feeling rather good about their chances on Tuesday.

Bristol City are justifiably favourites for this game. They have only lost once at home all season, and that was against Newcastle and only ended 1-0 to the visitors. Other than that they have won five and drawn one, and considering Hull’s current form I’d say odds of 1.675 for a Bristol City 0.0 Asian Handicap are actually very good value. I’m going for that along with a 2-0 correct score prediction at 10/1.
