Bromley can continue fine run

Bromley are worth backing to win at home to Fleetwood on Saturday. Five of Bromley’s last seven League Two home games have ended in victory, including last week’s 2-0 win over Barnet.

Bromley finished 11th in League Two last season, six points ahead of Fleetwood. They won 17 games, drew 15 and lost 14 times, whilst Fleetwood achieved 60 points from 15 wins, 15 draws and 16 defeats.

After a 0-0 draw at Shrewsbury, the comfortable nature of the victory over Barnet was a surprise, with pre-game betting suggesting it would be a close match. Bromley were available at odds of 9/5.

The Ravens’ confidence was boosted further on Tuesday with a penalty-shootout EFL Cup win over Championship big guns Ipswich.

It would be no surprise to see Bromley score, having found the net at least twice in three of their last four League Two games. They averaged 1.71 goals a game in their 24 matches against bottom-half teams last season.

Bromley have been solid defensively, keeping clean sheets in five of their last seven League Two home games, but Fleetwood have also won twice this season, scoring four goals.

The hosts may be able to edge out Fleetwood in a close game, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick.
