      Burnley vs Charlton Predictions

These are bleak times for Addicks fans who have seen their side blow two chances to get out of the relegation zone this week. Leeds were the first side to visit the Valley but they left with a point after a goalless 90 minutes on Saturday. 3 days later against bottom club Bolton, Charlton looked to be on the way to 3 points when 2 goals from Ademola Lookman gave them the advantage. However they were pegged back to a 2-2 draw and have now won just 2 of their last 18 matches.

Burnley are also having problems right now and it is 6 without a win for the Clarets after they sank to a 1-0 defeat at promotion rivals Middlesbrough in midweek. It leaves them 8 points off the top two and they are in danger of losing their position in the top six unless they can get back to winning ways here.

The main problem for Burnley is that the goals seem to have dried up and with top scorer Andre Gray without a goal in 4 games, nobody has stepped up to the plate to fill the void. Burnley haven’t scored in any of their last 3 matches and there have been under 2.5 goals in 5 of their last 6 fixtures.

Charlton have failed to score in 8 of their last 11 fixtures so it’s hard to see there being many goals here and backing there to be under 2.5 goals in this one at 3/4 might be the way to go.

The Lancashire outfit have that bit of extra quality though and should be able to end their goal drought at some point in the game. 1 goal might be all they need for a crucial win here and you can back them to secure a 1-0 victory at 5/1.
