Carpi have climbed out of the relegation zone after recording back-to-back wins against Frosinone and Verona, but they are only out of danger on goal difference and need to keep picking up points to stay above Palermo. Sassuolo are a different proposition to Carpi’s previous two opponents – who occupy the bottom two spots in Serie A – as they are pushing for European qualification.
