Celta Vigo stunned Real Madrid at the Bernabeu over the weekend but they may struggle to back that up with a Europa League win over Bologna.

The Italian visitors have proven to be an incredibly tough side to beat this season with just one loss in their last 15 games across all competitions.

Celta’s form was fairly poor before their win over Los Blancos but that is the king of result that could kickstart a good run, but Bologna are already flying so the best angle here could be backing both of these teams to score.

Both teams have scored in four of Celta’s five league phase games and they are yet to draw a blank in this competition. Goals at both ends has been a feature of Bologna’s games in general recently – landing in each of their last four – and in five of their last seven away from home.

Both of these teams could do with a result as they both sit in the play-off spots but they also look fairly well matched so a draw is possible. Celta have five draws in their last nine at home, while two of Bologna’s last four away have finished level. Celta have scored 11 goals across their five league phase games and the Rossoblu have scored at least twice in four of their last six games across all competitions, so an entertaining stalemate has a chance.

Williot Swedberg scored both goals against Real after coming off the Celta bench early in the second half. The 21-year-old has only recently returned from injury and that display in Madrid may see him handed a start on Thursday. Swedberg has one goal in two games in this competition and if he is involved from the off he looks a candidate for an anytime goal.
