Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Five of Celta Vigo’s six home games this season have seen both teams score, as have nine of their dozen outings at all venues. Getafe meanwhile have had both teams net in five of their last six fixtures, home or away.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Celta Vigo have conceded exactly once in five of their six games at home, including a recent 1-1 stalemate with Girona, while Getafe have seen each of their last three games end 1-1.

Celta Vigo vs Getafe Predictions

  • Celta Vigo have only kept one clean sheet across their dozen games this season
  • Five of Getafe’s last seven fixtures have seen both teams score
  • Both teams have also netted in five of Celta’s home matches in 2024/25

Can Celta find some form?

Celta Vigo will hope that a thumping 5-1 victory as US San Pedro in the Copa del Rey in midweek is just the tonic they need to kick start their season.

The Sky Blues’ league position has only been heading one way in La Liga in recent weeks, with back-to-back defeats to Leganes (3-0) and Real Madrid (2-1) meaning their good start is long behind them.

The defence has been a particular issue for Claudio Giráldez’s side, who have managed only one clean sheet across a dozen outings.

As such, nine of their games have seen both teams score, including five of their six fixtures played on home soil.

Getafe searching for much needed win

It’s a similar tale of woe for visitors Getafe, who head to Balaidos on the back of three successive 1-1 draws.

That means they are four games unbeaten, as they did beat Alaves 2-0 on home soil, but away fixtures have been a struggle, going winless across five outings (D2, L3).

Naturally, José Bordalás’ side have failed to keep a clean sheet in that period, but three of those games have seen both teams score, as have five of their last six matches at all venues.

I predict that both teams will score in this game, with a 1-1 draw my correct score prediction.
