      Under 2.5 Match Goals

      Reason for tip

Celtic have scored only seven goals and conceded eight in their five Europa League games, while Roma have scored the same and conceded only five. The Hoops have only conceded more than one goal in one of their last six.

      Roma 2-0

      Reason for tip

Roma have won three of their five games in the Europa League this season and they have won their last two ties in Europe. The Italians have already had success in Glasgow this season, having beaten Rangers 2-0 last month.

      Celtic vs Roma Predictions

      • Celtic lost their first game in charge under new manager Wilfried Nancy
      • Roma have already won in Glasgow this season, beating Rangers 2-0 in November
      • Roma have won both of their away ties in the Europa League this season

      Nancy to taste more disappointment

Celtic raised eyebrows last week when they decided to hire Wilfried Nancy as their permanent manager.

The Hoops are in the midst of a busy few weeks with numerous fixtures scheduled across multiple competitions and former interim boss Martin O’Neill had seemingly steadied the ship.

Nancy lost his first game in charge of Celtic on Sunday, with Hearts securing a 2-1 win. Before that match, O’Neill had guided Celtic back into title contention and they were level with Hearts on 32 points, and with a game in hand. He will only get a few days to prepare his new players and Roma should be able to take full advantage.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s men have lost their last two games 1-0 in Serie A, but they had won six of their previous seven before that setback. While Celtic are still learning the methods of their new coach, Roma are settled under Gasperini.

Five of Roma’s last seven games have contained under 2.5 goals and they should be able to record a routine win against a Celtic side that may need a few weeks to find their feet under Nancy.
