The Robins poor run may well continue

 Cheltenham haven’t won any of their last eight matches in all competitions. More worryingly, in these games they have shipped 20 goals. It’s no win in seven league games for Michael Duff’s side, a run that has seen quickly extinguished any hopes of the current League Two champions making the play-offs.

Only one team in League One this season has conceded more goals than Cheltenham. The Robins have conceded 44 goals in 25 league games this season, only Morecambe (49) have seen the ball hit their own net more times. Charlton should have enough quality to expose Cheltenham’s defensive frailties and may make it nine games without a win for Saturday’s hosts.

Chance the Addicks to bounce back

Charlton’s early success under boss Johnnie Jackson was built on a solid defensive record. Prior to The Addicks visit to Crewe they had only conceded in 8 goals in the 17 games since Jackson stepped into the hot seat. Since taking over from Nigel Adkins, initially as caretaker, Jackson’s 12 league games as boss have yielded six clean sheets. This stingy defence has helped Charlton climb from 22^nd to 14^th under Jackson’s stewardship.

I’m expecting Charlton to bounce back from their disappointing midweek loss at Crewe. I’m predicting the visitors too edge a close contest, Charlton to win is the section and in the correct score market ill predict a 1-0 away win.
