Cheltenham vs Crewe Predictions
The FA Cup first round has brought together two sides that had contrasting seasons last term, as Cheltenham won promotion to the Football League while Crewe were relegated from League One. Now both play in League Two and we think that it will be Cheltenham who will progress, this is priced at 10/11 for them to qualify with bet365. For our correct score tip we think that it will be a close fought game and the home side will edge it with a 2-1 win which is available at 17/2 with the same site.
Cheltenham have been a hard team to beat this season and they have only tasted defeat on four occasions in the league so far. For a side that is down in 16th position it looks to be an impressive statistic and one which is backed up by the fact that they are undefeated in their previous six outings.
Visiting Whaddon Road is a Crewe side who will be delighted with their start to their league campaign, after 15 games they sit in the last play-off place and remain on course for an immediate return to League One. They will be keen to avenge the loss inflicted on them by Saturday’s hosts earlier in the season, when they came away from Cheltenham with nothing after a 2-0 defeat.
The Alex have a long history with the greatest cup competition in the world, having made it all the way to the semi-finals way back in 1888 and although that sort of run looks to be extremely unlikely, they will be keen to at least make the third round.
