      Both Teams To Score

      Reason for tip

Both teams to score has landed in four of Cheltenham’s last six League Two matches. Salford have scored an average of 1.50 goals a game in their eight League Two away games against bottom-half teams this season, so expect another end-to-end tussle.

      Salford City 2-1

      Reason for tip

Cheltenham have failed to keep a clean sheet in ten of their last 12 League Two games and Salford have not managed to shut out Cheltenham in five of their last six meetings. Cheltenham have suffered two straight League Two home defeats, and 12 of Salford’s 16 wins this season were by a single goal.

      Cheltenham vs Salford City Predictions

Salford to take advantage of Cheltenham’s recent defensive woes

Both teams to score has been a winning bet in four of Cheltenham’s last six League Two games and that is worth backing again when they host Salford at Whaddon Road on Saturday. Salford have been in some low-scoring games of late – four of the last five have gone under 2.5 goals – but there were five goals in their 3-2 win over Swindon last month.

Salford are seventh in League Two, 12 places and 20 points above Cheltenham, with 16 wins from their 30 games this season. The hosts are 19th with nine wins and 17 defeats.

Cheltenham have been beaten in their last two League Two home matches, but Salford are going through a tough time too, with three of their last four league games ending in defeat.

Cheltenham and Bromley played out an evenly contested 1-1 draw in their last League Two game on Tuesday, with Isaac Hutchinson netting for Cheltenham. The result kept up their recent trend of matches with both teams scoring. Cheltenham had their chances against Bromley but failed to make the most of them, and would have been far happier than Bromley with the draw, having been priced at 9/2 to win the game.

Salford have scored an average of 1.50 goals a game in their eight League Two away games against bottom-half teams this season.

Both teams are struggling defensively, with Cheltenham failing to keep a clean sheet in ten of their last 12 League Two games and Salford not managing to shut out Cheltenham in five of their last six meetings.

Salford to win 2-1 looks a decent correct-score bet. Cheltenham have suffered two straight League Two home defeats, and 12 of Salford’s 16 wins this season were by a single goal.
