Wolfsburg could be held in Cologne

Wolfsburg are unbeaten after nine games in this season’s Bundesliga but have struggled killing teams off and may have to settle for a share of the spoils against Cologne.

The Billy Goats are fresh from a shock 2-1 defeat of Borussia Dortmund in which they caused Lucien Favre’s side plenty of problems on the counter attack, managing five shots on target despite only seeing 30 per cent of the ball.

A similar set-up could stifle Wolfsburg, who struggled to find openings in stalemates with Leverkusen, Freiburg, Augsburg, Gladbach and Hertha Berlin earlier this season.

They have since started winning games but three of their last four wins have come at home and the other was against a sorry Schalke team who are rooted to the bottom of the table. A draw is the best way to play it and with both teams scoring in five of their last six in the league, 1-1 is a good correct score prediction.
