Colorado Rapids have the worst overall record across MLS and are still seeking a first home win ahead of the midweek visit of Portland Timbers.

The visitors arrive in poor form themselves after a run of four games without a win, but they are still within touching distance of the postseason spots.

Goals could be in short supply

The Rapids have failed to score in each of their last four games and they have the worst attacking record in the league with just 14 goals in 20 games so far.

Only five of those goals have come in home games but they have also only conceded nine in as many games at this venue, so all the signs point to this being a low-scoring affair.

Portland have managed just 23 goals in 21 games and they have scored just twice across their last five trips, as such under 2.5 goals looks a strong option for the main bet.

Timbers can claim rare road win

Portland were handed a heavy loss at Minnesota over the weekend as they went down 4-1 but they can respond at Colorado.

The Timbers have two wins in the last three meetings between these sides and the Rapids have gone four games without scoring at home. A win would see Portland move level with Vancouver in the final postseason spot and they can edge out a 1-0 success against the league’s bottom club.
