Crystal Palace vs Tottenham Hotspur Predictions

Crystal Palace looked in very good shape a few months ago, but recently their lack of striking options has started to show.

They lost 4-0 to Manchester City last weekend, a result which made it just one win from their last six matches in all competitions and saw them fail to find the net for the 5th time during this period.

This includes failures to score against defensively poor sides such as Swansea, Bournemouth, and Aston Villa.

Crystal Palace have lost three of their last four matches in all competitions as well, which has seen them start to slide down the table. They were close to the top four not so long ago, but now find themselves eight points adrift of 4th place down in 8th.

Tottenham Hotspur are the side who are occupying that 4th spot in the Premier League, and they find themselves only five points off league leaders and arch rivals Arsenal.

Spurs managed to beat Leicester at the 4th time of asking this season in their midweek FA Cup 3rd Round Replay. This 2-0 win was their 5th win in their last eight games, and they have only lost once during that period.

Away from home they are looking pretty good as well. They haven’t lost any of their last eight games on the road in all competitions and haven’t lost away from home in the Premier League since August.

Five of their eight unbeaten away days have ended in victory for Spurs as well, so they will be confident of getting the better of Crystal Palace on Saturday.

I also think the visitors can get a win on Saturday. The likes of Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane are in excellent form and they are coming up against a Palace side who have conceded nine in their last four. Odds of 23/20 for a Spurs win look really good value too, so I’m backing that and a 2-0 win for the visitors at 9/1.
