Curzon Ashton vs AFC Wimbledon Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

National League North meets League One on Sunday afternoon as these two sides come together in the FA Cup. Both made it through to the second round via a replay and so we could be in for an interesting match here, although, it has to be said, the visitors will be disappointed if they failed to win this match.

At odds of 4/6, ‘AFC Wimbledon to Score Over 1.5 Goals’ is the bet to be on here. The visitors have been in decent scoring form of late and are fancied to notch a coupe against a side who currently reside two divisions below them.

Scoring goals hasn’t been a problem for Wimbledon this season. They’ve found the net no less than 30 times, scoring 12 of those on the road. On top of this, they’ve scored two or more in six of their away matches this season. Considering these came against League One opposition, it’s fairly easy to envisage them scoring twice against non-league opposition, despite the famous “magic of the cup”.

The fact that Curzon aren’t enjoying a great season at home also bodes well ahead of this one. The hosts have won just once at home in the league this season and have conceded no less than 23 goals. In addition, they’ve conceded two or more in three of their last five at home, as well as in eight overall.

It’s not hard to imagine Curzon’s cup run coming to an end here and it’s fancied that they’ll concede at least two goals against a Wimbledon side who could easily prove too good.
