Dinamo Zagreb vs Lyon Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

To say Dinamo Zagreb’s season so far has been disappointing would be an understatement. Usually total dominants of Croatian football, a series of terrible results have seen manager Zlatko Kranjcar sacked after just three months in charge and replaced with Ivaylo Petev.

The new manager has improved their form slightly, but they have still failed to win four of their nine matches since his appointment and remain five points adrift of Rijeka at the top of the table.

The Champions League campaign has gone even worse for the struggling Dinamo Zagreb. They have lost all four of their group games so far, failing to net a single goal and conceding 12 at the other end of the pitch.

This will give Lyon a lot of hope for Tuesday, but their fate isn’t necessarily in their own hands. They are four points adrift of 2nd placed Juventus and six behind Sevilla, so if Juventus win against Sevilla their hopes of qualification will be all but over.

Lyon have looked good recently though. Their 1-0 win over Lille on Friday made it four games unbeaten for them after a dreadful spell of five defeats from six games. During this four match unbeaten streak they have won three times, with their remaining result being an impressive 1-1 draw at Juventus.

This return to form has unsurprisingly correlated with the return of star striker Alexandre Lacazette from injury. The 25 year old striker has been in scintillating form once again this season, netting ten Ligue 1 goals in nine appearances and scoring three in his last four in all competitions. This makes him an excellent choice for our anytime goalscorer predictions.

On the whole we’re fully expecting Lyon to take all three points here. The hosts have looked completely out of their depth in the Champions League this season and failed to win at home against Istra 1961 on Friday.
