Greyhounds can return to winning way at Empoli

Bologna’s 1-0 defeat to runaway Serie A leaders Inter Milan last time out brought an end to their six game winning streak, but they should be able to return to winning ways on Friday when they travel to relegation-threatened Empoli.

Thiago Motta’s men have had a season to remember as they look on course to achieve European football for the first time since 2000 in the UEFA Cup, and the Greyhounds have lost just three times on the road in the league, although they have won the same amount also.

However, they face an Empoli side with the second-worst home record in the division, with Gli Azzurri picking up just 10 points at the Stadio Carlo Castellani and scoring just nine goals here.

After winning the reverse fixture in October 3-0, another comfortable victory should be on the cards for Motta’s high flying Bologna side and, with braces scored in each of their last three away games, a 2-0 winning score draws the most appeal.
