Falkenberg vs AIK Betting Tips & Predictions

Falkenberg narrowly avoided relegation last season as they beat Sirius in the relegation playoff after finishing 14th in the Swedish Allsvenskan. The way things are going, they might not get the chance to save themselves again.

Nine matches into the new campaign and they are rock bottom of the Allsvenskan with meagre tally of just four points. They managed to beat league leaders Norrkoping back in April and followed it up with a draw at Jonkopings, but all of their other seven matches have ended in defeat.

AIK couldn’t quite catch Norrkoping last season as the winners picked up their first top flight title in 23 years. AIK ended up finishing 3rd, two points behind Goteborg and five off the winners.

Norrkoping lead the table again at this early stage in the season, whilst AIK sit down in 4th position with a six point gap between them and the top spot. This comes from a disappointing 4-1 loss to the leaders and a 2-1 defeat to Helsinborg at the end of April.

The visitors record so far this season isn’t fantastic, but they are doing a decent job with four wins and two draws in their last eight outings. Both of these defeats have come away from home, but apart from that they have won all the other three away days this season.

I don’t think AIK will have too much trouble dealing with an awful Falkenberg side who have lost four of their five home games in the league this season. AIK have won four matches in a row against them as well, providing them with another little psychological boost. Odds of 4/6 for an AIK win look fair to me, and I’m going for a 3-1 correct score prediction at 11/1 due to the hosts terrible defensive record.
