Israel can claim comfortable win

Israel won 4-1 in Moldova in their last World Cup qualifier and should be able to take maximum points at minnows Faroe Islands on Wednesday.

The Faroe Islands do have four wins in their last six home games but those successes have come against Malta (twice), Andorra and Liechtenstein.

The Fifa rankings aren’t necessarily the best way to gauge just how good any particular team is, but Israel are ranked 81st and the Faroe Islands 114 by the world’s governing body and that does suggest an away win could well be on the cards here.

I’m backing Israel to win this match-up, and a 3-0 win for the visitors appeals here as Israel have scored at least three goals in three of their last five away games.
