FC Masr vs Misr Lel Makasa Predictions
- After rising up from the fourth tier over their short 10 year history, FC Masr are looking to make sure their first ever top flight campaign ends with them still in it.
- After 9 matches, the hosts are in the drop zone with just 7 points to their name and will need their home form to save them.
- Misr Lel Makasa are another side that’s struggling, collecting just 8 points from their 9 outings; leaving themselves 14th.
- The side managed to finish 6th last season but don’t look anywhere near as strong this time around
Masr looking for strong home performance
Founded just a decade ago, the fact that FC Masr are even in the Egyptian Premier League is an achievement in itself. The side have soared from the depths of the fourth tier to reach this point and are desperate for what is their first ever top flight season to end in avoiding relegation.
Masr clearly aren’t going to be a huge force at this level and have just 7 points from 9 matches thus far but a degree of confidence can at least be taken from their solid nature as hosts. Indeed, Masr have lost just 1 of their last 5 home games across all competitions and having conceded just once across said fixtures, are clearly a tough nut to crack.
Misr Lel Makasa don’t arrive in great shape
Meanwhile, after a strong 6th placed finish last season, hopes were high in Misr Lel Makasa ranks coming into the new campaign but the side simply haven’t hit the same heights as of yet. Indeed, managed by ex-Tottenham forward Mido, the visitors have struggled and have just 8 points to their name after 9 matches, meaning a defeat on Tuesday could see them slip into the drop zone.
The side have now taken just 2 points from their last 5 league outings and aren’t in strong form, leaving confidence low coming into the game. The side have the joint worst defence in the entire division having shipped a big 14 goals and their leaky defence has their prospects looking weak going into each and every game.
Masr look to offer good value
Ultimately, whilst neither side has covered themselves in glory this season, there is no good reason for Masr to be priced as such underdogs with home advantage on their side. The prices on offer surely reflect what Misr Lel Makasa did last season more than anything but they are now in poor form and don’t look anywhere near as strong an outfit.
With Masr looking strong defensively on home turf and a difficult side to beat, we really like the look of backing them on the Draw No Bet line. The hosts aren’t a prolific outfit but given the amount of goals Misr Lel Makasa are shipping, it wouldn’t be a big surprise to see them grind out a narrow win. At worst, Masr shouldn’t lose but we think they can edge Tuesday’s clash via a 1-0 margin of victory.
