Nothing to separate pair in Hungary

Ferencvaros have it all to do in this Champions League qualifier after losing last week’s first leg 2-0, but they do have an impressive home record, as they are unbeaten in their last nine fixtures at the Groupama Arena.

Pascal Jansen’s side are certainly capable of avoiding defeat in this one, but so are Midtjylland, who extended their unbeaten run to 12 competitive matches with Friday’s 2-0 victory over Vejle in the Danish Superliga.

Midtjylland have drawn three of their last four away fixtures and can force another share of the spoils in this one, which would be enough to take them through to the next round.

Score draw the order of the day

Ferencvaros have won seven and drawn two of their last nine home fixtures, but they have rarely faced a side of the quality of Midtjylland during that time, so a draw could be the best they can hope for and 1-1 is perhaps the most likely score.

The Hungarian champions drew 1-1 at home to third-place Puskas Akademia on their way to domestic glory last season, while Midtjylland have drawn twice on the road already this term, including their 1-1 with AGF in the league.

Each of Midtjylland’s last six away draws have seen both teams score, which makes a 1-1 stalemate an all the more appealing prospect for Tuesday.
