Feyenoord vs NAC Breda Predictions
- Feyenoord began the new season with a first-leg success over Fenerbahce in Champions League qualifying
- The hosts have won their last three home games against NAC Breda, scoring 13 goals in the process
- NAC Breda finished just a place above the relegation play-offs last season
Feyenoord can keep focus despite European distractions
The new Eredivisie season may just be getting underway this weekend but this is already a crucial period for Feyenoord, who secured a narrow 2-1 success over Fenerbahce in the first-leg of their Champions League third-qualifying tie during the week.
With the second leg of that tie to come in Istanbul on Tuesday, head coach Robin van Persie may look to rotate his line up for NAC Breda’s trip to De Kuip, but Feyenoord should still have more than enough to see off their opponents.
Feyenoord have won their last three home meetings with NAC, scoring 13 goals in the process, a run that includes a 7-1 Dutch Cup success in 2020.
NAC unlikely to trouble hosts too much
NAC could prove the ideal opponents for Feyenoord, as they finished just a place above the relegation play-offs last season and accumulated only two away wins from 17 matches.
Carl Hoefkens’ side did claim a credible home draw with Feyenoord when the teams last met in February, but given their recent struggles when visiting De Kuip, NAC are unlikely to cause a shock in Rotterdam.
Feynoord have won the last three home meetings with NAC 2-0, 7-1 and 4-2 and another high-scoring win is expected, although like they did in midweek against Fenerbahce, Van Persie’s men could concede.
