      Fulham vs Charlton Predictions

After a tough start, Fulham are starting to find their feet in the second tier. Back to back wins have taken them back into the top five, while they are looking to continue the climb when they meet Charlton in the weekend’s early game. The Addicks are narrowly outside the top six, but can they cause a surprise here?

Fulham are fresh from putting four goals past Reading in midweek, with that impressive away win boosting Scott Parker’s side. The hosts are hoping to build on a strong home record, which has seen them average two points per game at Craven Cottage this term.

Meanwhile, Charlton remain the league’s big overachievers, having spent most of the season in or around the playoffs. The Addicks have slumped of late, with the absence of forward Lyle Taylor clearly hurting the Addicks.

The visitors come into this clash with three defeats in four following their loss at home to Swansea in midweek. They are hoping to avoid back to back defeats, with a 2-0 loss at lowly Wigan in their last clash. Things certainly aren’t looking good for them ahead of a meeting with in-form Fulham.

The visitors have won three from five at home this term, while we are backing them to secure a win on Saturday afternoon. They’ve had the chance to get things back on track with wins over Wigan and Reading, which has set them up for another success this weekend.

Fulham are landing Charlton at the perfect time, which should bring a victory for the hosts in this encounter. We are backing Fulham to come away with all three points on Saturday, with Charlton looking far too light with Taylor absent.

Without their star forward, Charlton haven’t really been scoring goals. They’ve hit two in their last four games, while they’ve seen under 2.5 goals in six of their last seven outings. Meanwhile, there have been fewer than four goals scored in five of Fulham’s last six. They’ve thumped some of the league’s poor sides, but that doesn’t include Charlton.

The visitors’ defence remains decent, having conceded just four goals across their last three trips. We are backing Fulham to win with under 3.5 goals scored. With Fulham scoring at least twice in five of their six home meetings with the Addicks, a 2-0 victory for Fulham is our correct score selection.
