Fulham vs Liverpool Predictions
- Both teams have scored in each of the three meetings between these sides this season.
- Fulham have scored 29 goals in 16 home league games.
- Both teams have scored in six of Liverpool’s last eight away games.
Liverpool in need of a boost
Liverpool head to Craven Cottage on Sunday as they face Fulham for the fourth time this season.
It has been a disappointing week or so for the Reds as they lost top spot in the table following a home defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend, before their Europa League hopes were ended by Atalanta despite a 1-0 win in Bergamo on Thursday.
They face a familiar foe on Sunday as they take on Fulham for the fourth time, having also faced the Cottagers over two legs in the EFL Cup, and they could be five points behind title rivals Arsenal by the time the game kicks off.
Back goals at both ends
Liverpool are a short price to win in West London and as they arrive in mixed form, and after a midweek European trip, I’m opting for a both teams to score selection at a similar price for the main bet.
Both teams have scored in all three previous meetings between these sides this season, and in each of the last six meetings at Craven Cottage.
Fulham are generally good for a goal at home having scored 29 in 16 Premier League games so far, while Liverpool are yet to draw a blank in any competition on their travels this season.
Salah can guide Reds to victory
Fulham are heading towards a mid-table finish and clearly title chasers Liverpool are the team in greater need here. Liverpool may have hit a bit of a rough patch but they did manage to win at Atalanta on Thursday and they have won eight of their 15 league trips so far, losing just twice.
Liverpool should be able to win here and a 2-1 win for the visitors is the correct score prediction. The Reds have beaten Fulham twice this season and both wins were by one-goal margins, so the Cottagers should be able to keep this game competitive.
Mohamed Salah scored against Atalanta before being withdrawn midway through the second half so fatigue shouldn’t be a major issue for the Egyptian. As always, Salah will be on penalty duties and he has fiver goals in his last eight games so he looks the best bet for an anytime goal.
