Galatasaray 2-1

Reason for tip

Galatasaray have the quality to edge this 2-1 against a Union side that lost 3-1 to Atletico Madrid in their last Champions League game. The hosts have scored exactly three goals in three of their last four home games, but without deadly star Osimhen may have to settled for two here.

Mauro Icardi To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Galatasaray top scorer Victor Osimhen is struggling to be fit for this clash but his deputy Mauro Icardi has scored in five of the last seven matches where he has played 45+ minutes.

Icardi on song ahead of Union clash

Union Saint-Gilloise defenders can breathe a sigh of relief that Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is probably going to miss Tuesday’s Champions League clash in Istanbul, although his deputy is in decent goalscoring form.

Mauro Icardi looks set to lead the line for the Turkish champions against the Belgian title holders and he warmed up for the assignment by scoring his seventh goal of the season in their 3-2 league win over Genclerbirligi on Saturday.

The Argentinean ace is a decent bet to notch against a Union side that have not kept many clean sheets on the road this term, although David Hubert’s side tend to offer an attacking threat wherever they play.

BTTS at RAMS Park

There has been a trend for both teams to score in Galatasaray’s home games  of late and there have been goals at both ends in Union’s last three road trips too. BTTS is the main recommendation here because Union, who lie 28th in the Champions League standings, cannot afford to sit back and the home fans will not let ninth-placed Gala rest on their laurels.

If Osimhen, who picked up an injury on international duty a couple of weeks ago, was fully fit then the hosts would be a strong pick to tale all three points. They may still be able to do that if their experienced midfield get on top and the likes of Leroy Sane, Baris Alper Yilmaz and Icardi take their chances.

Back a 2-1 win for the Turks based on some incredible home form which has seen Galatasaray overcome the likes of Liverpool and Bodo/Glimt at RAMS Park.
