Gent have finished the season well and have earned themselves a play-off game against Antwerp for a place in the Europa Conference League next season. Gent have won their last four matches and have built an unassailable seven-point gap at the top of the Conference League Group. Gent will be hoping to carry some momentum into their play-off game against Antwerp and can take encouragement from last month’s game against Charleroi – Gent ran out 3-1 winners that day and there is plenty to suggest this one will go the same way. 

Visitors have ended the season poorly

Charleroi will be pleased to see the back of this season as they have never really got going following the league split. Charleroi have taken four points from five games in the Conference League Group, a run which sees them 12 points behind Saturday’s opponents and have no chance of earning a spot in a European competition for next season. Charleroi have lost their last three away matches, conceding eight goals in the process, Edward Still’s look to have their work cut out on Saturday.
