Getafe vs Valencia Predictions
A few weeks ago this game had all the makings of a crunch relegation six-pointer with Valencia in absolute freefall. However Pako Ayestarán has done what Gary Neville failed to do and got Valencia playing well at both ends of the pitch. 2-1 wins over Sevilla and Barcelona restored plenty of pride to the damaged egos of Valencia fans particularly given what happened the last time they’d visited Camp Nou. They then cruised to a 4-0 win over Eibar at the Mestalla in midweek with Paco Alcacer bagging a hat-trick and all of a sudden there have been a few murmurings that European qualification might still be possible. They might be a stretch with 6 points separating Valencia and Sevilla in 7th place but on current form, they’ll be confident of picking up another win here.
Getafe are also under new management though and finally won in midweek at Real Sociedad having gone 13 games without a win prior to that to plummet down the division and into the relegation zone. They remain in the bottom 3 but are only 2 points from safety with a reasonable run-in so they’ll be hopeful that they can still pull themselves out of it. They looked much more threatening going forward in San Sebastian with Pablo Sarabia impressing down the right wing but were hammered 5-1 at home by Real Madrid last weekend.
Therefore you’d have to be a bit cautious about saying that Getafe have turned a corner. Real Sociedad have been doing strange things all season, often losing games they should be winning and vice-versa. Getafe have been very poor in 2016 and with Valencia suddenly playing with real belief and their forwards suddenly converting chances backing Valencia Draw No Bet at 4/6 might be the best way to go here as the visitors are sure to create plenty of problems for a dodgy Getafe defence.
