      Goztepe vs Yeni Malatyaspor Predictions

Göztepe are too far back to challenge for a European place, but this hasn’t stopped them from improving their form of late. Tamer Tuna’s men come here unbeaten in three and they ought to be feeling upbeat after their 5-0 win against Karabukspor last time out. Against a Yeni side that has struggled to win games of late, the hosts will almost definitely fancy their chances.

In contrast, Yeni, who’ve won just one of their last seven matches, have been struggling somewhat. The visitors did draw last time out, though drawing 0-0 at home to an Akhisarspor side who’re down towards the foot of the table is hardly anything to shout about. Having failed to really stamp their mark on that fixture, the visitors could struggle to get at a home team who’ve been thriving in recent weeks.

With the way things have been going of late, considering both the form of the hosts and the form of the visitors, it’s easy to see that this is a massive opportunity for Göztepe to secure three points. The hosts have thrived on their own patch in recent weeks, especially from an attacking point of view, while Yeni, who’ve lost each of their last three on the bounce, have struggled massively on their travels.

Not only do the visitors come into this match in poor form overall, but their away form against teams in the top eight has been very poor this season. In fact, Yeni have won just one of their seven away matches against the current top eight, and even that was a narrow victory over Kayserispor, who’re currently 8th. Monday’s visitors have lost each of the other six, conceding 13 and scoring just four in the process. Unsurprisingly, Erol Bulut’s side have found it tough to keep the better teams at bay, while they’ve also floundered offensively against such opposition.

The fact that Yeni, who’ve scored just four goals in seven matches against the current top eight this season and who’ve notched just 13 goals on the road all season, have found it tough from an attacking point of view bodes well for the hosts. Having scored seven in their last two at home, Göztepe have thrived when it comes to scoring goals at home, especially of late.

Both Bursaspor and Karabukspor felt the heat when visiting Bornova Doğanlar Stadı in recent weeks, so it really wouldn’t be a surprise if the visitors, who conceded three in their most recent away match, came off second best.

All in all, the hosts simply have too much about them going forward. On their own patch, Göztepe are backed to record what should be a relatively straightforward win.
