Las Palmas would never have dreamed that they’d go into the final 3 games in the top half and closer to the European battle than the relegation zone but that is exactly the case. They crushed Espanyol 4-0 last weekend for their 7th win in the space of 10 matches and mathematically at least could still qualify for the Europa League although it’s highly unlikely. They’ve won 4 of their last 5 away games too having been frankly woeful on the road prior to that run but they were beaten 1-0 at Real Betis in their last away match.

This is a far bigger game for Granada than the Canary Islanders though. They are just 1 point and 1 place above the relegation zone and given their final two games are away to Sevilla and at home to Barcelona, this game is an absolute must-win. If they play like they did in their last home game then they should do that. Everything clicked as they hammered relegation rivals Levante 5-1 nine days ago and they are unbeaten in 5 at home so should approach this with confidence despite a 2-1 defeat at Celta Vigo on Monday night.

This has the potential to be a good game and one that both sides will be looking to win. Las Palmas can play without pressure and have no reason not to try and be positive and build on their recent good form. A draw will not help Granada whatsoever so there should be chances at both ends. Both teams have scored in 6 of Granada’s last 8 home matches and 5 of their last 7 games overall. We’ve seen goals at both ends in 4 of Las Palmas’ last 7 outings too and backing both teams to score at 11/10 might be where the value lies here.
