Draw and Both Teams To Score

      Reason for tip

Harrogate and Grimsby made winning starts to their league campaigns last week, but they could cancel each other out in another lively encounter. Three of the last four meetings have seen both teams score, while at least three goals were scored in each of that trio of matches.

      Draw 2-2

      Reason for tip

It finished 2-2 when these two last met in April and we predict a repeat result in this latest contest. Only four of the previous ten match-ups have seen one or both teams fail to score, while Grimsby have won just one of their five trips to this venue.

Harrogate Town vs Grimsby Town Predictions

      • Grimsby have won on just one of their five visits to Harrogate
      • Three of the last four meetings have seen both teams score
      • Only four of the previous ten match-ups have seen one or both teams fail to score

Mariners unlikely to find choppy waters

Harrogate and Grimsby made winning starts to their League Two campaigns last week, but the pair may struggle to find a way to win this week.

The home side edged past Bristol Rovers with a 1-0 victory, while Grimsby were ruthless in a 3-0 drubbing of Crawley at Blundell Park.

Both sides will be in good spirits for this contest but we predict a high-scoring draw for the pair who played out a 2-2 draw in April.

A similar outcome looks likely as Grimsby have struggled to find a way to win at this venue previously.

On only one occasion in five attempts have the Mariners netted a win at Wetherby Road, and that 4-1 victory came almost ten years ago in the FA Cup.

Since then they have struggled to see off The Town and they may have to settle for a draw this weekend.

Only four of the previous ten match-ups have seen one or both teams fail to score, while three of the last four meetings have seen both teams score, so backing a repeat 2-2 draw could pay off.
