A tough encounter to call

Heerenveen have found their form in recent weeks and head into this clash on the back of a six-game unbeaten run, though they were helped by a red card as they slipped by promoted Cambuur in the last round.

Now welcoming Feyenoord, Heerenveen face a much bigger threat than the average Eredivisie side as they make up one of three sides gunning for the title.

However, Heerenveen did at least manage to find the net in two of their three encounters with top-three opposition this season, suggesting they have the firepower to do it again.

End-to-end action expected

After falling to defeat in their Der Klassieker encounter with Ajax last time out, Feyenoord will be desperate to bounce back here. Notably though, Feyenoord won’t worry if they concede first in this, as they picked up ten points from losing positions so far, more than all but AZ and PSV.
