- Both teams have scored in Hertha’s last three league matches.
- Both teams have netted in four of the last five meetings between the sides.
- Freiburg were resounding 4-1 winners in December’s reverse fixture, but Christian Streich’s side come into this on the back of three consecutive away defeats.
Goals likely with both sides desperate for points
Both of these sides will be all out for the three points in Thursday evening’s Bundesliga clash and that should lead to an extremely open encounter at Olympiastadion.
The teams are desperate for very different reasons with Hertha clambering for safety and Freiburg seeking to keep their Europa Conference League qualification hopes alive, though we’re struggling to hand either side a clear vote.
Freiburg were decisive 4-1 winners in December’s reverse fixture and are 14 points superior to their opponents in the league standings, however, Christian Streich’s charges have lost their last three away trips and have won just one of their last seven on the road, losing five.
Hertha are in much better form after avoiding defeat in their last four starts, although three of those games have ended all square.
We’re keen to avoid the match betting as a result in favour of backing both teams to score, which has been the case in the hosts’ last three outings. We should see plenty of action at both ends as the teams go all out for a vital three points, but we’re predicting a 2-2 score-line at full time.
