Holstein Kiel still in promotion contention

Holstein Kiel’s three match unbeaten run came to an end in midweek as they fell to a deserved defeat at Bochum, but we’re predicting them to have a more successful time of things on Saturday.

After a rocky start to the season which saw them lose four of their opening seven Bundesliga 2 games, Holstein Kiel’s have been remarkably difficult to beat. In fact, Wednesday’s loss was just their third defeat in 12 matches, including a fantastic 3-2 win over Stuttgart last weekend.

This has pushed Die Storche into promotion contention, although with eight points separating them from 3rd placed Stuttgart it is still very much at the far end of their spectrum right now.

League leaders yet to find their rhythm

Arminia Bielefeld are a tough team to play though – they wouldn’t be top of the Bundesliga 2 standings if they weren’t. However, the leaders haven’t found their swagger since returning from the enforced break in play, with a drab goalless draw at Hamburg last weekend following on from a disappointing draw at home to the relegation threatened Osnabruck.
