Huddersfield vs Bristol City Predictions
There might just be some light at the end of the tunnel for Huddersfield, who haven’t enjoyed the best of campaigns so far. New boss David Wagner, who had got off to a nightmare start, picked up his first points in English football at the 4th time of asking last weekend as the Terriers won 2-0 at Birmingham to move up to 19th in the table.
They are now 2 points clear of Bristol City, who are only outside the drop-zone on goal difference so this certainly has the feel of a real relegation six-pointer. These are worrying times for Steve Cotterill, whose side were tipped by many to do quite well this season after securing promotion from League 1 as champions last term.
Just 3 wins from 19 matches are testament that that most certainly hasn’t happened though and only bottom club Bolton have won fewer games than them this season.
They come into this game off the back of two damaging defeats. The first was perhaps their worst performance of the season when they were beaten 3-0 by fellow strugglers Rotherham and a 2-0 home defeat to Blackburn last time out extended their winless run to 4 matches.
That could well be 5 by the end of this one and with Huddersfield’s players seemingly starting to warm to the methods of David Wagner, they look good to secure another win here and you can back them to do that at odds of 5/4.
Bristol City’s current lack of goals is worrying especially given they have one of the worst defences in the league and therefore consider backing a solid 2-0 home win for the Terriers at 9/1.
