Hull City to Win

Reason for tip

Hull have excelled on their own patch in recent times, losing only one of their last eight home league outings, and that came in a 3-1 reverse against runaway leaders Burnley. Rotherham, meanwhile, are winless in nine on the road.

Hull City 2-0

Reason for tip

Hull have kept clean sheets in four of their last five at home, while the Millers have managed just three goals in their last eight away league games. That makes a home win to nil look likely and 2-0 may be the way to go.

Hull City vs Rotherham Predictions

  • Hull have lost only one of their last eight home league games
  • Rotherham have failed to win any of their last nine away games
  • Hull have kept clean sheets in four of their last five at home

Millers set for more misery on the road

Hull have been a fairly reliable punting proposition on home soil in recent months and the Tigers can hit the 50-point mark in the Championship with victory over Rotherham.

Liam Rosenior has done a fine job in the Hull dugout and although they have won only one of their last eight league games, performances haven’t been that concerning, especially at home.

Hull have excelled on their own patch and have lost only one of their last eight home league outings, and that was a 3-1 reverse to runaway leaders Burnley.

But there is no real shame in losing to the classy Clarets and they had won three of their four home games prior to that, overcoming QPR, Cardiff and West Brom.

And they should fancy their chances against Rotherham, who are only four points clear of the drop and still have work to do to secure survival.

The Millers have picked up only 14 of their 40 points on the road, failing to win any of their last nine away games in the Championship.

Rotherham have lost five of those fixtures, failing to score in four of those defeats, and their most recent away game saw them beaten 2-0 at Birmingham, where they registered just one shot on target.

So Hull are expected to prevail and correct-score backers should side with a 2-0 win. The Tigers have kept clean sheets in four of their last five at home while the Millers have managed just three goals in their last eight away.
