Hungary vs Poland Predictions
- Hungary are unbeaten in six games, beating the likes of Turkey and Iceland.
- Poland’s own unbeaten run was ended by consecutive defeats to Italy and Netherlands.
Tight match expected in Budapest
Two sides hoping to beat England to qualification from Group I meet this week in a match that could go a long way in decided who qualifies for the World Cup next year.
Hungary have been in good form recently, winning four of their last six games including some impressive victories over Iceland and Serbia. Hungary possess some real quality in midfield with Sallai and Szoboszlai able to win them matches with their creativity centrally.
Poland come into the game on the back of two losses against two European powerhouses in Italy and Netherlands. Those defeats ended an unbeaten run of five matches for the Polish national team and they will be keen to return to winning ways, something that is always possible when Lewandowski is leading your line.
These are the two teams most likely to contest Group I alongside England and both will be keen to take all three points early on in the qualification process. However we think the spoils might be shared in this match with the two sides cancelling each other out. We’re backing this match to end in a draw, a result that neither side will really be happy with. We can’t see too many goals either and we’re forecasting a 1-1 final score.
