Nerazzurri can continue dominance over Lazio

Serie A champions Inter Milan bounced back from their shock 1-0 defeat at Sassuolo with a commanding 5-0 victory at Frosinone last time out and they will be confident that they can end their home season on a high against Lazio on Sunday.

Simone Inzaghi’s side have been the dominant force in Italy this season, boasting an 18 point lead over second-placed rivals AC Milan, and their form at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza has been particularly impressive, losing just once here in the league all season.

Lazio are in a very strong run of form going into this encounter –  winning five of their last six in all competitions – but their record against Inter leaves a lot to be desired, winning just one of their last five meetings.

This includes defeats in both meetings with Inter this season – in the reverse league fixture (2-0) and in the Italian Super Cup (3-0) – and another loss could be in store. Failing to score in either does not bode well for the Eagles and another shutout defeat could be on the cards, with a 2-0 final result drawing some appeal.
