Inverness CT vs Hearts Predictions
Inverness, who finished 3rd in last season’s Scottish Premiership, have seemingly been unable to put any significant run of good form together this season.
They have not won more than two games in a row in the league all season, and the frequent draws and losses that have broken up the victories have left them in a rather disappointing position in the Scottish Premiership.
They sit in 6th position with just 29 points from their opening 23 matches, and they are already 12 points adrift of the 3rd place they finished last term.
Inverness CT’s last fixture was a lifeless goalless draw at home to Partick Thistle, a result which made it two wins, two draws, and one loss in their last five games in all competitions. This sort of run is typical of the inconsistent Inverness this season.
Hearts are the team occupying 3rd place in the Scottish Premiership at the moment, but despite their incredible start to the season they now find themselves way off the top two. They are eight points behind Aberdeen in 2nd and 14 of leaders and Champions Celtic.
This is down to the large number of draws they have been playing out. Hearts have only actually lost two of their last 18 matches in all competitions, but eight of those games have ended all square.
They did seem to be finding their winning ways again recently, but a draw against Hamilton Academical last weekend made it two draws and three wins from their last five fixtures.
Inverness did manage to beat Hearts in their other home fixture earlier this season, but that was during a poor spell of form for Hearts.
The visitors have been very difficult to beat, and they are coming up against a team who have a penchant for performing inconsistently. I think it could be a close one, but odds of 1.675 for a Hearts 0.0 Asian Handicap Win look fair value to me. I’m also going to back a 2-1 Hearts Win at 8/1.
