Brentford have often been one of the most entertaining sides to watch since their promotion to the Championship. That hasn’t always been the case this term but in recent weeks they’ve been involved in some real goal-fests and this has the potential to produce a few goals too.

There have been over 2.5 goals in all of Brentford’s last 11 games in all competitions and both teams have scored in 9 of those matches. The last five alone have produced a ridiculous 26 goals. Both teams scored twice or more in 4 of those 5 games and they’ve picked up some decent results too so there’s no reason why Dean Smith will try to change their approach heading into this game.

All this has come following the departure of top scorer Scott Hogan and it really seems to have sparked some of his teammates into life. Spanish midfielder Jota Peleteiro has returned to the club following a spell with Eibar in La Liga and he has really hit the ground running. The 25 year old has scored 6 goals already since returning in January, including a hat-trick against Rotherham last weekend so he’ll be raring to go again here and backing Peleteiro to score anytime could be well worth a punt.

Ipswich haven’t been completely toothless in front of goal recently either. They’ve scored at least once in all of their last five matches and they are unbeaten during that run. However, four of those games ended in score draws and it wouldn’t be a massive surprise to see this go a similar way, given only 1 point separates the sides in the league. They both look like teams that you’d class as far too good to go down but lacking a bit in terms of a play-off push.
