Ipswich vs Rotherham Betting Tips & Predictions

Ipswich are going quite nicely too with 10 points coming from their last 5 matches and they are just 1 point outside the top 6 coming into this one and clearly they are right in the hunt for a play-off place. Their 2-0 midweek win over Blackburn came courtesy of a brace from Daryl Murphy and they have only lost 1 of their last 8 at Portman Road and seem to be over their problem of drawing too many home games given 3 of the last 4 have been victories.

This game might have looked like a home banker not so long back but Rotherham are showing tremendous spirit under Neil Warnock and they came back from 3-0 down to draw with Derby last weekend and pick up a priceless point. They’d won all of their previous 3 matches including shock wins over Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough and the Millers now have a fighting chance of survival. They come into this match in the bottom 3 still but they are only 1 point behind MK Dons and Fulham just outside the drop-zone and they could move out of it with a victory here.

That won’t be easy though with Ipswich determined to make the play-offs and very experienced campaigners in this division. Ipswich haven’t lost at home to a side outside the current top six in over a year and their recent home wins against Forest, Blackburn and Reading suggest they are capable of getting the better of bottom half clubs on their patch. Rotherham are full of confidence and will make it tough for them but they are exposed at the back a bit too frequently still and backing Ipswich to win at 4/5 looks like the way to go here.
