      Juventus vs Roma Predictions

Sunday evening will see a match-up between last season’s Serie A winners and runners up in Juventus and Roma. The first half of the season was a story of two halves for both clubs. Juventus started the season extremely poorly and languished in the bottom six or seven of the table for the first 10 games or so. A 10-game winning streak has seen them spring up the table and their performances have now made them firm favourites to retain the title. Currently they are just two points behind Napoli for first place.

Meanwhile, Roma became the favourites elect in Juventus’ absence. They struggled for consistency all season but still topped the table for a period. They’re unbeaten in six games, but also have just one win in that span. They also suffered a poor loss to Serie B side Spezia in the Coppa Italia.

Juventus have won all three of their games since the calendar turned to 2016 by a combined 9-1 score-line. They’ve discovered how they can be effective and the team that struggled to find the back of the net for the first part of the season is now creating all manner of chances.

Meanwhile, Roma’s year has started with draws against Chievo, AC Milan and Verona. They’re now nine points behind first place, in danger of slipping behind the top four and being caught by teams like Milan, who are just behind them.

      Three Reasons for Betting Tips

      1. Juventus just too good

They’re playing at home in this game and they’re just playing such a high standard of football. Roma will try to slow them down, but they’re not naturally geared to play that brand of football.

      2. Not a place to end your poor form

Roma are not in rhythm, they’re not going to be overly confident heading into this match-up. Juventus aren’t the team to play when out of form right now.

      3. The old gulf returns?

Last season, it felt like a case of Juventus and then everyone else, over the last couple of months, it feels like the gulf of last season, which was illustrated in the final table has perhaps returned.
