      Aberdeen to Win

      Reason for tip

Aberdeen have only lost one of their last six games against Kilmarnock and the two played out a goalless draw last weekend. Killie conceded four goals to Dundee United two weeks ago at home and should struggle in front of their own fans.

      Aberdeen 1-0

      Reason for tip

Both teams have found goals hard to come by in the first few weeks of the season and another low-scoring affair is expected. While Aberdeen have lost back-to-back matches away from home, one of them came against Celtic. Killie have fallen short against the likes of St Mirren and Dundee United, so Aberdeen have what it takes to advance.

      Kilmarnock vs Aberdeen Predictions

      • Kilmarnock have only won one of their last seven games in all competitions
      • Aberdeen are winless in three games and have failed to score in each tie
      • The Dons have lost only one of the last six meetings between the pair

Dons to prevail at Rugby Park

Kilmarnock and Aberdeen will meet for the second time in just over a week when the two sides clash at Rugby Park in the Scottish League Cup on Saturday.

The two sides played out a goalless draw and another low-scoring affair is expected between two teams that cannot seem to get going in front of goal.

Killie have failed to score in three games, and two of those defeats came at home, where they conceded five goals in total against St Mirren and Dundee United.

Aberdeen have won all five of their League Cup games so far and they have a solid record against Kilmarnock. The Dons have only lost one of their last six games against Kilmarnock and they have kept a clean sheet against their hosts in two successive fixtures.

While there is little to split the two teams, it is Killie that look a level below their visitors. They were held to two draws in the group stages by Raith Rovers and Peterhead and Aberdeen should be able to grind out a narrow victory.
