Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Over 2.5 goals has landed in 12 of Sweden’s last 15 internationals, while the same has landed in 10 of Kosovo’s previous 11. The Swedes have some brilliant attacking options, but they have defensive issues, as seen in their 2-2 draw at Slovenia on Friday.

Viktor Gyokeres To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Gyokeres has 15 goals for Sweden in 27 appearances, with 10 of those coming in seven games in 2024. The Arsenal forward can continue that brilliant scoring return against a Kosovo side who just lost 4-0 to Switzerland.

Visitors have no room for error

Group B is one of the most interesting World Cup qualifying pools, with Switzerland, Slovenia, and Sweden all aiming to top the pile. With only one automatic spot and one playoff berth, that three-way fight to qualify could be tense. Kosovo are the fourth seeds in the group, but they’re capable of throwing a spanner into the works.

Sweden suffered a setback in their opening game, as they conceded an equaliser in added time away to Slovenia on Friday night. The Swedes dominated the game and created the better chances, but they let themselves down defensively.

Sweden have a brilliant array of attacking players, even with Alexander Isak struggling for fitness. Arsenal forward Victor Gyokeres has scored one fewer international goal than Isak despite playing almost half as many games. The forward netted 10 times across seven appearances for Sweden in 2024, so he appeals against a vulnerable Kosovo defence.

The hosts lost 4-0 to Switzerland in their opener, but they started 2025 by scoring 14 times across four victories. They did concede in all of those matches, pointing to how open their matches tend to be.

With 12 of Sweden’s 15 internationals across the last 18 months featuring at least three goals, over 2.5 is well-priced going into this clash. The Swedes have recorded 5-1 and 4-3 victories this calendar year on top of Friday’s 2-2 draw, while their Euro 2024 qualifiers featured 3.25 goals per game.
