Las Palmas’ season has faded a way

A run of just one three wins in 14 matches appears to have ended Las Palmas’ hopes of going up this season, as they have dropped to ninth in the table, seven points outside the play-offs.

García Pimienta’s side have been particularly poor defensively, keeping just two clean sheets in their last six, with both teams scoring in three of those games.

Leganes moving up the table

Leganes have moved to within two points of Las Palmas thanks to a run of eight games without defeat (four wins and four draws), but they too concede a fair few goals.

Indeed, both teams have netted in five of their last six, with their only clean sheet in that period coming during a 2-0 home win over Mirandes.

Mehdi Nafti’s side are unbeaten in three on the road and they will fancy their chances of grabbing a sixth away league victory of the campaign here.

I predict that both teams will score as neither defence is particularly watertight, but I think a 1-1 draw is the most likely result, so that is my correct score prediction.
