Leeds vs AFC Bournemouth Predictions
- Both teams scored in over half of Leeds’ Premier League games this season.
- Both sides failed to keep a clean sheet across the last five Premier League rounds.
- Three of the four H2Hs across the last decade saw both teams score.
- Rodrigo has netted in back-to-back games for Leeds ahead of this.
Leeds can contribute to an exciting clash
After becoming the first side to win at Anfield in a league game with a crowd since 2017 last time out to end a rotten eight-game winless run, Leeds United return home in high spirits as they look to consolidate that victory with another positive result against the Cherries.
The threat of relegation remains very real despite that tremendous result, Jesse Marsch also remains as one of the favourites to be the next boss sacked, so a negative result could pile the pressure right back on the American coach.
With just two wins from their opening six home league games, a Leeds success is by no means guaranteed. However, both teams have scored in the majority of their games this season and percentage could rise yet further against similarly placed Bournemouth.
Bournemouth aren’t bad on their travels
Although Bournemouth have fallen to three straight defeats for the first time since May, they have been pretty solid on their travels across their last four away league games (W1, D2, L1).
Gary O’Neil oversaw an incredible six-game unbeaten run to begin his tenure as interim manager, so he will hope to get his men playing like that again despite the absence of a few key players such as Neto.
No side has conceded more goals than Bournemouth’s 20 away from home this season and they’re currently enduring a run of 16 Premier League away games without a single clean sheet. As such, the main prediction could simply rely on whether or not Bournemouth can score themselves!
Going for goals
We’re backing BTTS in this clash as there is little to split these sides on the form of the season so far.
We could perhaps lean towards Leeds with home advantage and the confidence gained from their famous Anfield win, yet we’re sitting on the fence with a 2-2 draw in the correct score market.
Leeds striker Rodrigo is worth a second look in the anytime scorer market, he’s now scored in his last two games and already had a run of three straight scoring appearances to begin the season.
