Leeds vs QPR Predictions
Truth be told there is very little riding on this match and it could have a low-key end of season feel to it. QPR are 4 points and 3 places better off than Leeds but neither side have any chance of making the play-offs nor being sucked into a relegation battle. QPR were beaten 3-2 at home by Middlesbrough on Friday night and have been a bit more positive in recent weeks with wins over Derby and Brentford prior to that pushing them into the top half. They’ve only lost 1 of their 7 Championship away games in 2016 so will be confident of getting a result here.
That is especially true given Leeds’ very poor home record. They’ve only won 1 of their last 5 at Elland Road and that was a narrow win against bottom club Bolton. They were thumped 4-1 by Huddersfield last time out at home and suffered another defeat at struggling Rotherham last time out. These could be an important final 8 games for their boss Steve Evans though as a strong finish could see them end in the top half, which may signal some small progress is being made.
This game feels like one that could end in a draw. QPR are the division’s draw specialists with 15 and 4 of their last 5 away games have finished level. Half of Leeds’ home games in the Championship since Christmas have also finished all square and as the league table would suggest there isn’t really much to choose between the teams so consider backing this to finish in a 1-1 draw at 5/1.
