      Leeds vs Rotherham Predictions

This time last year Leeds were managed by Neil Redfearn and Rotherham by Steve Evans. However on Saturday at Elland Road it is a complete role reversal as Redfearn takes his Rotherham side to take on a Leeds side that has found some form under Steve Evans.

The manager’s office at Leeds might have a revolving door but its latest incumbent is doing his best to stick around a little while longer than most of his predecessors. United have won their last 2 matches having only won twice all season prior to that. A first home victory of the season at home to Cardiff City was followed up by a convincing 3-0 win at Huddersfield last time out.

Faced with another Yorkshire derby on Saturday, Leeds should certainly approach it with confidence and will fancy their chances of making it 3 straight wins at home against bottom club Rotherham.

After the hugely successful reign of Evans, it has been a really tough start for Neil Redfearn. He has picked up just 1 point from his opening 6 matches and finds his side rooted to the foot of the table and as clear relegation favourites.

Their last game was the worst of the bunch, a crushing 5-2 home loss to a previously out-of-form Ipswich and it’s hard to see them getting a result here given Leeds are playing with confidence all of a sudden. You can back the hosts to win at odds of 17/20.

Not only have Leeds won their last two, they have kept clean sheets in both matches and are looking better all over the park. Rotherham will not want a repeat of their defensive collapse last time out and may well come here with a more cautious mentality.

They aren’t really equipped to just sit back and defend though so Leeds should find some joy in the final third and can be backed to win 2-0 at 7/1.
