Legia Warsaw vs Bodo Glimt Predictions

BETTING TIP – UNDER 2.5 GOALS

CORRECT SCORE PREDICTION – 1-0 LEGIA

  • Legia Warsaw won the first leg 3-2 in Norway
  • Bodo/Glimt have lost two of their last three away games (both 1-0)
  • Legia Warsaw have kept clean sheets in five of their last six home European games.

Legia look good to finish the job

Legia Warsaw returned from Norway with a 3-2 advantage from the first leg of their Champions League qualifier against Bodo/Glimt.

In the past, it would have taken a bold approach from the visitors to overturn such a scoreline, but the abolition of the away goals rule means Bodo/Glimt can try to be cagey.

And while other teams would try to nick a 1-0 win to take the tie to extra-time or penalties, it doesn’t appear to be in their nature to play that way.

Superlaget are struggling domestically with only one win in their last five and the setback they received in the first-leg had been coming.

Scoring away from home has been a problem – registering only five times in five Eliteserien road trips in 2021 – as the club sold a trio of attackers that had produced 60 goals for them last season.

Legia executed their gameplan perfectly a week ago and will hope for more counter-attacking opportunities on Wednesday.

We’re not so sure Bodo/Glimt will make the same mistake twice, however, and can envisage a less open contest where set pieces are crucial.

Legia have a great record for keeping home clean sheets in European competition and this could be a 1-0 success for the Poles.

Bodo/Glimt have suffered single-goal defeats in two of their last three away games and this smells like it could be another.
