      Legia Warsaw vs Midtjylland Predictions

That would be enough to knock out Legia, who have just 1 point from their opening 4 group fixtures. They were beaten in Denmark back on match-day one and haven’t looked at all convincing in Europe this season.

Midtjylland were on an absolute roll in this competition having knocked out Premier League Southampton in the play-off round prior to picking up maximum points in each of their opening two group games. However a couple of heavy defeats against Napoli, by 4-1 and 5-0 margins have brought them right back down to Earth.

Their league form also suffered during that spell and they lost 5 games in a row in all competitions. However their last two games have been more encouraging. They beat Esbjerg 5-1 to stop the rot and picked up a point away to Odense at the weekend.

They are also still in 2nd place in this group and could even secure qualification on the night if they win and Club Brugge fail to beat Napoli in the other game. The Italians are clearly the class act in this group and one of the strongest sides in the tournament so perhaps we shouldn’t rush to any conclusion based on Midtjylland’s two defeats against them.

Overall they have been far more impressive than the Poles, who aren’t having a great season domestically either given they trail surprise leaders Piast Gliwice by 8 points in the Polish top flight. Midtjylland look to have at least got over their tough patch and at 10/11 they look really good value to get a result from this game.

They might not have enough to win it but a point would still represent a solid result for the Danes and would leave them firmly in the box seat to secure qualification ahead of their final game at home to 3rd place Club Brugge, a side they’ve already beaten away.

Legia Warsaw have only scored 1 goal in their 4 group matches so far but have only conceded 5 times so we might not see many goals here and a 1-1 draw might be the way to go in the correct score market at 11/2.
