Liechtenstein vs Faroe Islands Betting Tips & Predictions

Both sides are limited by a very small pool of footballers to choose from but they have both picked up some good results in recent times. The Faroes beat Greece home and away in qualifying for Euro 2016 but they did lose all of their other 8 qualifiers. They’ve not played since the end of that qualifying campaign in October so have gone almost 6 months without a fixture of any sorts so there may be some dust to shake off here.

Liechtenstein have played one match since their qualifying campaign ended and that was a 0-0 draw against Gibraltar last week which was a game they would have been targeting for a rare win. They did win one match in qualifying when they were 1-0 winners in Moldova and they picked up two home draws too so they by no means disgraced themselves although were completely outclassed a couple of times by the top sides in the group.

Clearly the test here will be less and this could strangely be one of the most competitive friendlies this week between two sides that really cherish international victories, given how rarely they come along. The Faroes are the favourites but it’s hard to really justify that. Apart from those wins over a completely out-of-sorts Greek team they have only won 1 match in the last 5 years and that was against Gibraltar. Liechtenstein have avoided defeat on a more regular basis in recent times and with home advantage should be able to do that again here so consider backing Double Chance – Liechtenstein or Draw at 8/13.
